Description
Instructions for use of mechanical softeners
Maximum flow rate: 900 l/h
Minimum / maximum inlet water pressure: 1 ÷ 8 bar
Min. / max. temperature: 4°C to 25°C

POSITION 1: This is the working position.
POSITION 2: Stops the water to pour the salt into the tank
POSITION 3: Position for regenerating the resin after we have first poured the salt and it has been in the tank for 30-40 minutes
POSITION 4: Backwash from salt for 1 minute
Warning: For regeneration, use only coarse-grained sodium chloride NaCl (table salt). The use of any other chemical substances or products is strictly prohibited.
The resin in the water softener is necessary for its proper operation. Do not remove it under any circumstances.
ATTENTION: during resin regeneration, the device connected to the softener is supplied with water, but it is not softened.
To ensure the effectiveness of the softener at all times, we recommend that you perform regeneration at regular intervals depending on consumption.
To disconnect the water softener, close the water inlet tap, press the ring and at the same time remove the hose from the quick connector. Place the drain hose directly into the drain.
When the resin becomes saturated with salts, follow the backwashing and regeneration procedure described below.
A) Rinsing the resin -> POSITION 4
Close the inlet water tap and turn the valve knob counterclockwise to position 4 for backwash. Open the inlet water tap and let the water run for 2-3 minutes until it runs clear. Turn the knob to position 1.
B) Resin regeneration (Turn the knob sequentially POSITION 1 -> POSITION 2 -> POSITION 3 -> POSITION 4 -> POSITION 1)
POSITION 2
Turn the valve knob counterclockwise to position 2. Loosen the rotating element on the cover and wait for the water pressure to drop.
Remove the lid and add the required amount of salt according to the softener model.
Replace the cover and tighten the rotating element firmly and forcefully.
ATTENTION: Remove all salt residue from the sealing ring and the top of the softener.
POSITION 3
Turn the valve knob counterclockwise to position 3.
Let the salt water drain through the drain hose until the water becomes soft (about 40 minutes).
POSITION 4
Turn the valve knob counterclockwise to position 4 (backwash) and wait about 30 seconds (the softener does not deliver any water during backwash).
POSITION 1
Turn the knob counterclockwise to position 1, operating mode.
C) Mixing valve (adjusting the final water hardness)
When the regeneration valve knob is in position 1 (operation mode), it is possible to adjust the final water hardness. Using a small straight screwdriver and through the hole located on the left side of the regeneration valve (marked MIXER), turn the screw on the mixing valve to the left by one turn. This will increase the final water hardness.
