Antimicrobial filters above the counter
Olympus Over-the-counter Water Filters
Olympus over-the-counter filters connect directly to the kitchen faucet without the need for tools or a technician. They are the most popular choice for home use, as they combine easy installation, antimicrobial protection and Greek manufacturing by Center Plus SA with a 2-year warranty.
Available in two series. Series Olympus (single 77 euros, double 134 euros, triple 184 euros) covers families of up to 5 people with 8000 liters per cassette. Series GIGA (single 99 euros, double 179 euros, triple 259 euros) is designed for larger households of 6 people or more, or for businesses and premises with higher consumption, with 14,000 liters per cassette.
Double and triple models add additional cartridges for limestone or nitrate, suitable for areas with water quality issues.
What is the difference between Olympus and GIGA?
The difference is in the capacity of the cartridge. The standard Olympus model filters up to 8,000 liters of water and covers consumption for up to 5 people. The GIGA model filters up to 14,000 liters and is recommended for 6 or more people, as well as for businesses, schools and shops.
Is a technician needed for an over-the-counter filter?
No. The connection is made directly from you to the tap, with the adapter that is included in the kit. Installation is easy and does not require special assembly.
What does it remove from the water?
The Olympus filter removes chlorine, pesticides, heavy metals, asbestos fibers, hexavalent chromium, arsenic, lead, cadmium and toxic substances, while allowing beneficial elements such as mineral salts and trace elements to pass through. Antimicrobial technology neutralizes up to 95% of microbes in the device in 2 hours, and the internal chamber of the device is constantly self-disinfecting.
When do I need a double or triple filter?
The standard model covers most drinking water needs. If your area has hard water with excess limescale, choose the dual model, which adds a cartridge specifically for limescale. If elevated nitrates are also detected, the triple model adds a third cartridge for nitrates.
How often do I change the cartridge?
The cartridge is replaced every 12 months or 8,000 liters of water (14,000 liters for the GIGA model), whichever comes first. In the meantime, it can be cleaned. Olympus replacement cartridges from 45 euros, GIGA from 60 euros.
